HELLO MIAMI.

Well, we made it to Miami.

David and I had a nice drive from St. Petersburg. After driving a couple of hours, we stopped for lunch at a slightly rundown seafood shack in Bonita Beach where a nice toothless lady instructed us to sit wherever we like. We had some fish tacos that sounded better than they were, and I dipped my toes in the bathwater that is actually the Gulf of Mexico. We then drove another few more hours due East and finally hit Miami Beach. We're staying at the Hotel Astor, which is in an old art deco building in South Beach. I thought it looked a little rough around the edges at first, but then I reminded myself that an opening band is lucky to get any hotel at all. We have a BED. And a TELEVISION.

Miami, or at least South Beach, is crazy. Women in gold platforms, fake eyelashes and tank tops smoking hookahs. It is a sensory overload. Kind of the opposite of Albany, California, which is fine with me. A much more entertaining place to walk around.

Bobby (our tour manager) and Reed got here yesterday. Here they are in the van. They met the whole Erasure crew today at the venue and said everyone was lovely.

Okay, gotta get a good night's sleep. First show is tomorrow. I will also post the list of tour dates tomorrow- but in the meantime, you can see them here (July 6 - Aug 26): http://www.erasureinfo.com/concerts/

Oh and even the oysters in Miami have their own spotlight.
